From 1981 to 1987, fellow of the Institute of Aerodynamics "U. Nobile" (IAUN), University of Naples. In this frame, he has been:

Member of the team that proposed, designed, tested, controlled and analysed two Microgravitational Fluidynamics experiments performed on board the missions FSLP (1983) and D1 (1985) of the SHUTTLE/SPACELAB programme.

From 1987 to 2002 employee of CIRA (Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali). In particular:

Program Manager of the Hypersonics/Hermes related activities. He was in charge of:

  1. Coordination and scientific responsibility of Italian Fluidynamic Studies within the ESA Hermes R&D Preparatory Program

  2. Phases A and B design activities of the SCIROCCO project, related to the design of the 70 MW arc-heated Plasma Wind Tunnel

  3. Coordination of several theoretical and numerical activities in super/hypersonics.

Project Manager of the program CRYO, concerning the realizzation of a facility able to test and qualify the liquid oxigen turbo-pumps (LOx-TP) of the space launchers' engines
